Ismet Arıcı is an academician and musician in Turkey. After graduating from Marmara University Music Department, he took his Masters and his Ph.D. degree at the Institute of Education Sciences, Marmara University. He is currently working as a faculty member at Marmara University Facultyof Fine Arts in Music Education Department.
After the 90s, he has given concerts at Turkey and Denmark, Norway, Portugal, Greece.
In 2005, he released his first album consisting of 11 songs "Aşk Var Ya" ( There is Love). In 2005, he released his first album consisting of 11 songs "Aşk Var Ya" ( There is Love).
The same year he published an independent e-single called Ağıt"(Lament) which was composed in memory of a musician (Kazım Koyuncu) who died of cancer and emphasized the radiation clouds coming from Chernobyl to the Black Sea
In 2011, he released the second album consisting of 6 songs Yine Yalnızım(Im Alone Again).
In 2016, he released an e-single called is "ISYANBUL" (Rebellion to Istanbul ) in, which ironically describes the problems of the metropolis in Istanbul as well as the beauties of Istanbul.
He created a different interpretation by synthesizing Anatolian and rock-blues-jazz-folk modes in her songs and original compositions.
